Cone- Plate Viscometer

A cone-plate viscometer consists of a flat plate and a cone-shaped rotor . The fluid sample is placed between the cone and the plate and the cone is rotated at a constant speed. The angle of the cone ensures a consistent shear rate across the sample ,allowing for accurate viscosity measurements. As the cone rotates, it generates a shear force on the fluid, causing it to flow. The resistance of the fluid to this flow is measured as viscosity.
